Data Engineer

Position Overview:

The Data Engineer plays an important role as part of Enterprise data platform team. Reporting to the Principal Data Architect, data engineer is responsible for design, develop, build, and optimizes ETL data pipelines, ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient data processing using AWS Services like Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Kinesis and using open-source table format in ICEBERG integrated with AWS to enable seamless access to quality data for analysis. Familiarity with tools like DBT, AWS SageMaker are integral to their role. Their efforts lay the foundation for robust, trusted and accurate data-driven operations.

 

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Business Analysts to understand data sources, data transformations, and over-all data flow. Design, develop and implement data pipelines in an AWS environment, and deployment using CICD. Solid experience working with API’s and integrating data from diverse sources. Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. Deep understanding of Data Modeling, Data Privacy, Security, and governance. Proactively communicate and build partnership with external & internal IT/Business stakeholders. Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required 7+ years of professional hands-on development experience in building ETL data pipelines and data quality, data model, and agile deliverable. Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Services and Data capabilities Required strong hands-on experience in Glue, Glue catalog, Appflow, Step functions, Lake formation, Athena, S3 bucket, Redshift, Lamada, Python, Spark and SQL. Strong expertise in ACID compliant, and using open-source table format like Iceberg, Delta Lake etc. Solid understanding of CI/CD using GitHub. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Well organized, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks     Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership Ability to work independently Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned

Salary Range: $98,683.60 - $131,578.13
