Data Engineer(Business Data Solutions Developer - Pricing)

Position Summary:
The Business Data Solutions Developer (Pricing) will be responsible for building, maintaining, and organizing the infrastructure that enables the Pricing team to leverage data effectively. You will also conduct software testing and provide support to end users for a diverse range of applications. You will document and maintain existing software solution(s), work with project leaders to develop new tools across the company and assist in the establishment of a relevant software center of excellence (COE). This role will work closely with various teams across the business in order to successfully identify, design, implement, and maintain data solutions.
Major Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions for large cross-functional projects that relate to pricing or business improvement areas, working closely with IT, Rental, Accounting, Contract Management, FP&A, and Sales. - Acts as SME on designed solution(s), key business processes, and data systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to implemented data solutions. Work with end users and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and implement solution enhancements. - Lead creation of technical documentation and training materials used to inform end users and peers on the design and use of developed solutions. - Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree required. Business or IT degree preferred. - Master’s in Business Administration preferred. - Six Sigma Certification preferred. - Minimum of 5 years experience in the development of analytical solutions, cross-functional business process solutions and development of end-user automated solutions. - Intermediate understanding/utilization of relational databases, data extraction and analytical tools. (ex.- AWS Glue, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) - Intermediate understanding of business process management. - Intermediate use/knowledge of workflow/business analysis/business management tools, such as Anaplan/SharePoint/Power Automate, etc. - Ability to exhibit working/conversational knowledge in variety of technical skills - Ability to lead/actively participate in various project deliverable to drive completion/mentor associates - Professional communication both verbal and written. - Develops / executes training in data and analytical techniques. - Able to complete tasks/projects in a timely manner. - Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job - Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
