Data Engineer @DARWIN

THE ROLE & YOUR MISSION

Design and implement high-performance data pipelines across multiple source and destination systems, utilising a variety of data technologies.

Develop an expert understanding of how the organisation’s data is structured, and what insights can be derived from it.

Translate business and client requirements into end to end technology solutions, and proactively recommend solutions and product enhancements.

Manage and maintain the analytics platform, investigate bugs and issues, and ensure systems work as expected.

Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external business stakeholders, including senior leaders.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & VALUES

What we’re looking for:

Proven ability to design and deliver analytics solutions.

Extensive experience with relational database technologies, in particular SQL Server, and a good understanding of alternative types of data and database system.

Experience with Python, especially in regards to data processing and systems integration.

A thorough understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

Experience developing for one or more BI visualisation platforms.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with all levels and types of colleague.

Collaborative, willing to learn and willing to help others.

What makes you stand out:

Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.

Knowledge of git version control and collaborative development.

Knowledge of server management and a basic understanding of networking.

Understanding of the application development lifecycle.

Commercial awareness of the value and impact analytics can provide.

Curious, self-driven and analytical approach.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment, enjoying autonomy and responsibility for delivering projects.
