We are currently seeking a Data Engineer (Data Foundation Squad) to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Job Descriptions – Data Engineer (Data Foundations Squad)
We are looking for all round data engineers to join the data foundations squad to deliver data as a product solutions for a major airline operator.
This squad will be in-between the shared component squads (making the core libraries and tooling) and the data product squads (delivering DAAP integrations at scale), proving the outputs of the shared component squads and advising on improvements, ready for mass adoption.
There may also be opportunities to assist the shared component squads directly, either via feedback, or by accepting appropriate tasks from the primary development backlogs when opportunities allow.
Required Skills
5+ years experience in data engineering (some of this could be in a related field such as application engineering, data science, of quality assurance) 2+ years professional use of python Experience in either of Snowflake or Kakfa or other Realtime steaming application or Apache Airflow Understanding of data warehousing patterns Understanding of real time data processing Basic use of git, and some form of CI platform Writing unit tests Use of task management systems A willingness to learn and research technical topics
Good to have:
Use of GitHub actions Use of terraform Knowledge of QA approaches and practises Experience with Agile Use of Jira
