**CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer Data Platforms-Azure opening for our client in Houston, TX.** **Location:** Houston, TX **Duration:** 12 months **Duties:** + Design, implement, and manage data pipelines on Azure cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. + Develop and optimize data workflows and transformations using Databricks and Snowflake. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure the smooth integration of data platforms. + Support the integration of SAP S/4HANA with cloud-based data platforms. + Troubleshoot and optimize data-related issues, ensuring high availability of data systems. + Work with trading platforms within the energy sector, leveraging cloud-based tools for real-time data processing and analysis. + Participate in architectural design sessions, ensuring data infrastructure meets client’s business requirements. **Skills:** + Expertise in Azure cloud services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL, etc.) + Strong experience with Databricks and Snowflake platforms. + Proficient in working with SAP S/4HANA integration with cloud systems. + Experience in energy trading platforms and understanding of the oil & gas domain. + Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipeline design. + Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or other relevant languages. + Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data integrity and quality. + Understanding of security best practices in cloud data management. **Experience:** + 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles, specifically in the Azure cloud environment. + Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with Databricks, Snowflake, and SAP S/4HANA in the oil & gas sector. + Proven experience in the implementation and maintenance of energy trading platforms on Azure cloud. + Experience in real-time data integration and working with complex datasets. + Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in fast-paced environments. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. + Relevant certifications in Azure, Databricks, or SAP S/4HANA are a plus.
