Data Engineer II
Job Purpose or Goals

Establish data management systems, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy. Participate in development of interfaces and design of user interface and business application prototypes. You will report to the Information and BI Manager.

Tasks:

1.       You will work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

2.       Assist with procedures to determine appropriate action and escalate to manager.

3.       Build productive internal/external working relationships.

4.       Participate, and in some cases takes the lead on, formulating and monitoring data architecture policies,           procedures and standards.

5.       Build moderate level complexity data interfaces, both internal and external sources

6.       You will participate in design of data architecture standards.

7.       Design and implement database logical and physical models.

8.       You will provide development support to troubleshoot all data interfaces and data model related issues

9.       Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or related field, or 4 years related experience. Professional Database or Extract Transform Load framework-focused Certifications Preferred (MS SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, SAP DS, Informatica) 3 or more years exposure to database conceptual design, logical data modeling and capacity planning. Moderate level of hands-on experience developing internal and external data interfaces and data loading plans. Some experience defining and managing data security policies. 5 or more years of converting requirements into data, database specifications and loading plans. Moderate level of hands-on experience hands-on with data modeling tools (SSIS, Erwin) Some experience working with development teams on data used in user-based interfaces and backend data requirements.
