  As a Data Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a data engineering team, you execute data solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

 

Administrates, designs, implements and supports highly available and scalable cloud database solutions Implements data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes Implements and maintaining the High Availability features using Data Partitioning and Database replications Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other data issues Works with, application Architect, Information Architects and Database Designers to identify DB of choice, implement the physical data model Develops the database performance monitoring process and analyze data for optimization opportunities

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience in Database Administration/Engineering Basic knowledge ofCassandra, Oracle, Postgres, CockroachDB, DynamoDB, Terraform, AWS Services Experience in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning/backup and recovery procedures Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools to perform analysis Basic Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes
