We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, a passion for solving complex data challenges, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of data engineers. This role will involve design, development and maintenance of custom data pipelines, transformations and architectures, as well as data transformations inside of the EDW in Snowflake.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, transformations and architectures.Implement processes to maintain data quality and consistency across various sources, ensuring data integrity.Optimize the performance of data pipelines and databases, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.Collaborate with the senior members of the team, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering.Utilize dbt, Fivetran, Python, and Snowflake to build and manage custom data pipelines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in data engineering.2+ years experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake).Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and leadership skills.Experience with Fivetran & dbt.Working knowledge of SCRUM and Kanban Agile methodologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with machine learning and data science workflows.Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of data engineering principles, data warehousing, and ETL processes.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, including mentoring and guiding junior team members.Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
