Summary : Vighter is seeking to hire multiple Data Engineers in San Antonio, TX. AData Engineeris responsible for designing, building, and managing the infrastructure and tools needed to collect, process, and store data in a format that is easily accessible for analysis. They work with data pipelines, databases, and other data systems to ensure that raw data is transformed into usable formats for data scientists, analysts, and business users. Principle Accountabilities: + · Design, Build & Maintain Data Pipelines: Create and manage robust data pipelines to collect, clean, and store data from various sources, including internal systems, APIs, and third-party platforms. + Data Integration: Integrate data from different sources, ensuring consistency, quality, and accessibility. Work with both batch and real-time data processing. + Data Transformation: Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks to convert raw data into usable formats for analytics and reporting. + Database Management: Design and maintain databases, including relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases. Optimize queries for performance and ensure data integrity. + Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide them with high-quality data sources. + Automation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate data processing and streamline workflows. Optimize existing data systems and pipelines to enhance efficiency and scalability. + Data Governance & Security: Ensure data governance standards are met, including maintaining data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. + Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor data systems and pipelines for any performance issues or failures and resolve them promptly. + Documentation & Reporting: Create clear documentation for data workflows, pipelines, and architecture. Education : + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other related field is required. Qualifications: + Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mobile applications and/or game and app development. + Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python, Java, Scala and C++ and frameworks or systems such as AngularjS and Git. + Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle. + Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). + Strong problem-solving and communication skills. + Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping frameworks. + Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies. + Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Ability to multitask required, must be detail oriented. + Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace. Duty Hours / On-call Requirements: + The expected duty hours for this position are 8 hours per day and 5 days per week. However, this key position supporting 24/7/365 operations which may require work to be conducted in the day, at night, on weekends, and during holidays.
