JOB SUMMARY: Crocs is seeking a Data Engineer to develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and related architectures within the Azure platform, using Python and Python packages such as PySpark as well as SQL. This position will help enable the Crocs enterprise to make bigger, bolder decisions faster and will work independently and with the team to help facilitate the usage of more sophisticated analytics/data science throughout the organization.
What You'll DoDetailed duties:
Responsible for Data Modeling. More specifically, execute a framework to be used within our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) by providing consistent predictable techniques and methodologies for modern ETL/ELT tools on cloud platform, using Data Factory and Azure Databricks; interact with relational databases, using American National Standards Institute Structured Query Language (ANSI SQL). Use Snowflake Database to oversee all parts of the data storage process. Develop ETL/ELT processes and patterns to efficiently move data using batch processing. Responsible for Engineering Best Practices. More specifically, adhere to engineering standard methodologies, including test-driven development, agile management, and continuous integration pipelines. Create and maintain accurate and complete documentation of the pipelines developed. Stay ahead of on what is happening within the BI and analytics space and demonstrate interest and desire in the area of data science and machine learning. Develop subject matter expertise and ownership in key areas of business and serve as a liaison between engineering and front end. Effectively review and provide guidance on requirements provided to engineers. Convey complex ideas/processes in simple terms that are easily understandable. Provide technical solutions/designs to meet business needs.The position is 100% remote in accordance with the Crocs Flexible Work Arrangements Policy.
What You'll Bring to the TableMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in a related occupation, gaining data engineering experience. 2 years of data engineering experience working with modern ETL/ELT tools on cloud platform, such as Data Factory or Azure Databricks. 2 years of data engineering experience working with Power BI business analytics tool. 2 years of data engineering experience working with SQL and with Python/Python packages, particularly PySpark. 1 year of data engineering experience working in an Agile project framework environment.
Salary: $96,346 - $123,000 per year
