We are building a world class team Search team at CVS with the goal to make a significant impact on the company’s already data-driven media organization. We want to make sure we are both innovative and rigorous as we build out our Data Engineering capability to lead our Search data strategy, reporting and self-service dashboards initiatives.
As the Data Engineer, Paid Search Initiatives, you will play a critical role in managing Search initiatives through advanced reporting. You will acquire and combine data from multiple online data sources to manage our analytics reporting and custom analysis. Our work will have internal stakeholders with the goal of driving incremental revenue growth in the Search channel through data-driven optimizations.
The Data Engineer, Paid Search Initiatives also works closely with the larger Media and Ad Technology teams to provide data-driven insights and new solutions. You innovate and thrive in an analytical and creative environment where collaboration, client service, and new analytics development initiatives are leveraged in a data-driven approach to our product & service offerings.
The ideal candidate must have a deep knowledge in gathering business requirements and building ETL jobs within a paid media context. _Experience within the digital media, paid search media, e-commerce, or retail is A MUST._
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Design, develop and deploy APIs to source data from digital Search platforms (Google Ads, Bing) and from Adobe site analytics CDP into data lake and develop semantic layer in Snowflake platform.
+ Ensure abiding by data taxonomy structure and build system for overwrites and load rules that may be required for data standardization.
+ Build and maintain an understanding of data flows, sources, and data transformations across multiple domains to ensure data is properly powering ongoing datasets for modeling and reporting dashboards.
+ Keep up with maintenance and updates on core Search APIs, build failsafe systems to proactively catch pipeline problems, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise with APIs.
+ Determine if data integration is needed, identify data sources, and work with enterprise IT to build a solution to meet business partner expectations.
+ Proactively identify data quality issues and collaborate with other subject matter experts to identify solutions.
+ Responsible for design, setup and support of data governance and data integration processes using ETL tools.
+ Work closely with business partners in gathering detailed business requirements, establishing business definitions, and translating business requirements to technical solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, business analytics or equivalent experience
+ 3+ years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or related field
+ Experience in database design, data modeling and ETL process within different cloud environment platforms (ie. GCP, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks)
+ Proficiency interacting with various database and file storage systems (Examples: Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL).
+ Excellent working knowledge of large data manipulation using complex SQL across digital media platforms (ie. Google Ads, GAM, Bing)
+ Excellent knowledge in Python, Databricks, Spark, GCP and Tableau
+ Experience leveraging APIs, and enhancing or writing microserivces
+ Experience gathering and aligning business requirements across stakeholders in the digital world.
EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATES HAVE:
+ Experience in software development languages such as Python
+ Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems by managing or guiding technical teams with tools such as Tableau.
+ Understanding of the digital media landscape with a focus on retail
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$72,100.00 - $158,620.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
