Collins Aerospace is continuing to grow our Business Intelligence and Data Services to meet current and future business needs. The Data Services team has an immediate need for an SAP Data Engineer to support activities in our SAP BW/HANA Data Warehouse environment for use across the enterprise to drive the digital transformation of the business. The position will provide well rounded exposure to data warehouse architecture, software engineering, data management, modeling, API development, and analysis. This assignment will require the candidate to work seamlessly with members of the Data Services organization and our business partners.

** This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **

What YOU will do:

Support the operation of two SAP BW Data Warehouse (HANA and Oracle) in a global environment.

Develop HANA views, SQL scripts, API interfaces, BW info providers, ETL transformations, and BEX queries.

Design and deliver BW/HANA or native HANA applications.

Work with internal business customers and software development teams to gather and document requirements for data publishing and data consumption via data warehouse, and analytics solutions.

Coordination on migration, architecture, and platform decisions with the digital technology team

Work as a team member across the complete life cycle of delivery including architecture, design, development, test, and document integration solutions, custom development, and data migration elements of business applications.

Define and clearly communicate requirements to all stakeholders

Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision

Qualifications you must have:

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

SAP BW/HANA

Hands-on development experience with HANA, Java, Python, and API

Experience with SAP data warehousing methodologies and modeling techniques

Project experience implementing SAP BW/HANA solutions

Good knowledge of Java, Python, and API development

Experience with ETL tools (SLT, Data Services)

Strong SQL skills and proficient with Python

Experience supporting Production applications or workloads

Useful to have experience with API management and integration (e.g. Apigee)

Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skill

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
