Job DescriptionPay Rate: $20.00 to a maximum of $25.00 Per Hour.
Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry.
Program Dates: June 2, 2025 to August 22, 2025.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and operate data management tools, monitoring data flows, data quality, data cleansing and data processing.Create and document logical data integration (ETL) strategies for data flows between disparate systems and the enterprise data warehouse/data lakes.Collaborate with different stakeholders (engineers, data owners) to collect required data from internal and external systems.Work in an Agile environment that focuses on collaboration and teamwork.Improve and extend existing data infrastructure services.Monitor job schedule and correct job failures in a timely manner.QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background:
MS degree in Computer Science or computer related field from an accredited institution.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Skills:
Good experience developing with Python.Good experience with SQL development.Experience with basic data modeling.Experience with bash scripting.Experience with Git.Experience with CI/CD (preferably GitLab) and Docker is a plus.Experience deploying and running services in Cloud Big Data platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift or Snowflake is a plus.Experience with SQL(i.e. Oracle, sql server) and NoSQL databases is a plus (i.e Firestore, MongoDB).Experience designing and developing APIs is a plus (i.e using FastAPI, Flask).Abilities:
