Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in New York. This role is crucial within the tax industry, where you will work closely with our Tax and Accounting teams. Your key duties will involve processing customer tax information, maintaining customer records, and resolving any customer inquiries. Responsibilities: • Accurate and efficient data entry of tax information such as W2, Tax Forms, 1099s, etc. • Ensuring that tax returns are ready to be processed by gathering and organizing necessary files • Utilizing Lacerte for data entry tasks • Communicating with clients via phone or email to gather any missing documents • Reviewing data for detailed accuracy • Providing exceptional customer service in all interactions • Using Microsoft Excel for data management tasks • Typing and scanning documents as needed • Traveling between office locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn as necessary Requirements • Job Title: Data Entry Clerk • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role • Proficient in Data Entry tasks • Excellent Customer Service skills • Ability to handle Email Correspondence proficiently • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Experience in Organizing Files effectively • Skilled in Scanning documents • Proficient Typing skills • Experience with Form 1099 and W2 • Ability to conduct Detailed Review of data • No "please note" to be included in the job requirements.
