Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in MERRICK, New York. The role is centered on managing and organizing client files, with a strong emphasis on data entry tasks. The Data Entry Clerk will be integral to our operations, ensuring that all data is accurately processed and recorded. Responsibilities: • Accurately entering data into the system and maintaining client records • Undertaking detailed work to support tax preparation processes • Managing client files, including filing, scanning, and digitizing records • Ensuring all client information is sorted correctly to facilitate smooth tax preparations • Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for various tasks • Corresponding with clients via email when necessary • Using 10 Key Skills to perform calculations as part of the role • Prioritizing tasks to maintain organized files • Demonstrating proficiency in typing tasks • Providing top-tier customer service as part of daily responsibilities. Requirements • Entry-level position; no prior experience required, though any experience in a similar role is beneficial. • Proficiency in 10 Key Skills is essential. • Exceptional customer service skills are required. • Must be comfortable with data entry tasks. • Proficiency in email correspondence is necessary. • Must be competent in using Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with Microsoft Word is desired. • Should be adept at organizing files. • Ability to perform calculations accurately. • Experience with scanning documents is beneficial. • Typing speed and accuracy are crucial.
