Data Entry Representative/Accessioning

Location: Miami Lakes, FL

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours:  8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

- Accurately enter large volumes of data into various software systems.

- Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness.

- Update existing records and identify/correct any discrepancies.

- Manage and organize data files to ensure they are easy to access and retrieve.

- Assist in generating reports and documents as needed by different teams.

- Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies to ensure the integrity of sensitive information.

- Receive incoming specimens, samples, documents, or materials from various sources (e.g., labs, patients, suppliers).

- Verify the correct identification and condition of materials upon arrival.

- Ensure all items meet required standards and match associated documentation (e.g., requisition forms, packing lists).

- Accurately label each sample or item with unique identifiers (e.g., barcodes, accession numbers) to ensure traceability.

- Ensure that all labeling is correct and clear to avoid mix-ups or confusion later in the process.

- Enter relevant information about each item (e.g., type, source, date received) into a database or laboratory information management system (SOHI).

- Maintain accurate records of all accessioned materials and ensure all data is correctly inputted.

- Perform regular updates and checks to ensure the accuracy of the tracking system.

- Sort and organize materials or samples based on protocols, categories, or workflow needs.

- Ensure items are stored in appropriate containers, environments, or locations to maintain their integrity until further processing or analysis.
