Job Description

The NA Data Steward sits within the Data Governance Team of the NA Data Office. You will report to the SVP, Data Governance. You will have knowledge of consumer data and serve as a governance champion, important to maintaining the integrity of Experian's data. You will monitor and enforce the data to day governance of NA data assets: ensure it is defined/standardized and classified; help define and maintain data quality standards; and support and consult NA team members to help innovation teams search/discover data assets to support innovation/growth.

Main responsibilities for this role are:

Ensure data catalogs are up to date with all Experian data, initially, and as we expand our data sets.Collaborate with other Data Stewards and Departments to ensure data standardization and naming consistency of data assets across the organization.Consult with experience partners (product, analytics, innovation, and data acquisition teams) on existing data assets and how data can be compliant.Educate fellow employees on policies as it relates to use of data.Ensure policies are being followed for granting system access and access groups are defined and maintained.Data Sharing – Review and advise partners on data access/sharing requests.Collaborating with partners, establish high data quality standards (accuracy, consistency, timeliness) and set up validation rules, quality assurance assessments and creation of metrics to understand health of data and rectify issues.Monitor and review data quality metrics to ensure they meet organizational standards. Share insights with different teams.Collect data-related issues.Enable communication between users and data management teams, facilitating and problem resolution.Support the research and implementation of data governance technology frameworks.Learn new technologies, methodologies and best practices in the practice of Data Governance.Identify and address risks and vulnerabilities related to data security and compliance.

Qualifications

A steward's role is comprehensive and varied, combining data and governance expertise with a level of technical skills and strategic vision.

Data knowledge in consumer credit/demographic data; additional knowledge of digital data assets preferred (IP, MAID, Device IDs, CTV IDs).Understand and help guide organizational and team strategies+3 years experience with large-scale consumer data (data management.; data governance; product; or analytics).Working knowledge of data management and related technology solutions - data lineage capture, data analysis or other related data programsKnowledge of industry-leading data quality and data governance practicesKnowledge of data-related government regulatory requirements (FCRA/GLBA/CPRA/DPPA/HIPAA/) and new trends and issuesBachelors or Master's degree

This is a permanent remote home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
