Responsibilities
Data Governance:
Assist with development and implementation of procedures for data governance.Collaborate with business, data engineering team, data product team and other stakeholders to implement and operationalize data governance.Measure, report and monitor the implementation of data management practices.Foster data governance culture, provide training and guidance to employees.Any other data governance initiatives and priorities.Data Quality and Data Defect Management:
Assist with data quality requirements and proactively identify opportunities for data quality improvement.Collaborate with business, data owners, data stewards and data engineers to identify data quality issues.Responsible for data defect process including intake, triage, root cause identification, resolution, monitoring and reporting.Facilitate and manage the relevant forums.Record Retention:
Develop, maintain and implement record retention policies, procedures and schedule to align with industry standards, legal and regulatory requirements.Manage record retention reporting across the company on compliance with record retention requirements.Responsible for record retention as the Record Coordinator for Compliance, Control and Risk (CCR).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business field requiredWorking knowledge of Data Governance framework and Data Management practices.Knowledge of Governance, Risk & Controls (GRC) Frameworks and best practices.Expertise in data governance, data management, privacy, risk management, internal controls and/or regulatory compliance.Attention to detail, organized, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with competing priorities.Preferred Qualifications:
Data Governance experience in insurance organizationExperience in data analysis, audit, and complianceProfessional certification (DCAM, CDMP, CIPP)
Annual Salary
$64,575.00 - $101,475.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
