Job Description Summary

               

As a Data Governance Business Partner, you will support and drive our governance standards for the business. You will create and maintain policies in adherence to our governance decisions and work with the business to ensure policies are understood and followed. All new master data policies and requests will run through you and ensure that governance has approved, and all downstream systems are in alignment. You will partner with the data management Subject Matter Expert to ensure all areas are accounted for. You will be actively involved with the Project Align activities in support of Project Transformation and will provide governance around auditing for the Master Data Management teams. You will assist in complex projects/research to define business systems requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.

Job Description

This position requires experience and knowledge in the definition and management of the different master data elements, governance of those data elements, and understanding of their procedures. These include customer (sold-to, bill-to, ship-to, payer), vendor, materials, customer contacts, etc. A broad end-to end-understanding of different processes, and how applicable to partners, will be critical for guiding various teams on how to utilize and populate the diverse fields in the distinct business processes and analytical scenarios.

Representative of business function in the Data Governance organization.Establish the governance standards and solutions applicable for their functional area.Review/approve master data standard specifications and revisions to ensure that any key change to a data standard is sufficiently understood and its integrated impact is fully assessed.Serve as an escalation point for master data issues originating from respective business teams.Determine impact of proposed changes in structure and data to downstream processes and systems.Drive adoption of data governance standards and policies across Business Units and processes.Embrace stewardship to drive quality of master data across the enterprise.Build individual knowledge and experience of SAP S4/HANA along with education for the Master Data Management team.Build individual knowledge and experience of ASI master records along with education for the Master Data Management team.Work with the Subject Matter Expert to build understanding of their processes and provide support to Governance Council.Define service level agreements, key performance indicators, and data quality standards.Research and resolve discrepancies through interaction with other internal functional teams.Define audits.Drive process improvements.Work closely with project transformation teams.Participate in the data preparation, cleansing, analysis, and manipulation to support projects.Create, review, and maintain quality process documentation (Business process documents, process flows, policies and procedures, strategies, etc.).Prioritize effectively across project work.Enable overall improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools, and data.


 

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain is preferred or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.Minimum 5 years related experience.Experience in Data Governance, Risk and Compliance.Experience with S4 HANA for master data creation and maintenance required.Ability to drive continual improvement efforts at scale.Demonstrated leadership skills.Strong problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Experience and knowledge of departmental functions, terminology, and interrelationships for master data types such as: Customer, Vendor, and Material).Passionate attitude toward data quality with a strong attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, high transaction team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects, be organized and plan ahead.Ability to work independently and as a team player.Ability to complete quality work within defined service targets in situations with tight turnarounds and deadlines.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to comfortably navigate multiple databases.Flexibility and adaptability to provide support to multiple roles within data governance and adjust to a changing landscape.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $81,620.00 - $122,430.00
