The Data Governance Business Analyst is a highly analytical and detail orientated individual with a strong focus on data standards and process. We are seeking a candidate with 3-5 years of experience that will bridge business needs with technical solutions to enable data driven solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of data governance and documentation standards. analyze and map out existing processes and data structures, highlighting inefficiencies and gaps in alignment with organizational goals.

General Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to document prioritized business and data requirements
• Locate and document available information that is ready for business consumption
• Research and validate available information from current systems, document all findings and highlight gaps
• Work closely with application developers, data engineering and analytics teams to understand current state of data architecture and document all findings
Document Technical Specifications and Process Improvement
• Partner with Data Engineering, IT and Analytics to gather information on required data needs by business stakeholders
• Develop user stories for agile development teams and support engineers and quality analysts through development lifecycle.
• Assist in capturing data and application function workflows, data lineage, and any pre-defined diagrams from the business and engineering teams.
• Create detailed data flow diagrams and mapping of data across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Identify inefficiencies in current processes
• Maintain detailed documentation of business processes, data workflows, and system changes.
• Gap Analysis documentation based on data availability
User Testing and Delivery
• Conduct user acceptance testing with business stakeholders and delivery teams, including 3rd party vendors. Ensure that all data available will meet ATI standards and definitions
• Create use case scenarios for user testing and develop training guides.
• Participates in root cause analysis of incidents as it relates to the data architecture during the development and post go live
• Participate in project retrospectives and adjust business analyst procedures to align with scrum team optimization.
Minimum Education
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or business administration.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree with related experience
Minimum Experience
Required:
• 3 years of experience as a focused business analyst, in agile software or integration development.
• Specialization in Data architecture, governance and integration
Preferred:
• Experience with Azure DevOps and process design software
• Familiarity with ITIL / Service Management
• Experience in the healthcare industry

• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7).
• Highly collaborative and able to solicit key inputs, data, and points of view.
• Ability to write requirements, map workflows, and follow project plans.
• Technical acumen in integration, reporting, and analytics technologies.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.
