**Job Purpose and Impact**
The Data Governance Lead will provide strategic leadership to develop, deploy and maintain value-driven governance strategies and processes. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to define and drive data governance practices, create and enforce policies and processes, and establish disciplines across the data supply chain to ensure consistency, security, quality, and reliability.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Partner with key stakeholders including data privacy, technology governance, risk & compliance, HR, business data teams and others to bring data governance maturity to how we work, serve as the advocate, thought leader and change agent to bringing teams together.
+ Define & operationalize a federated data governance framework that allows extended teams to reuse frameworks while also providing space for localized prioritization & application to make data management and governance efforts most sustainable.
+ Champion a culture of data as a strategic asset and provide frameworks in the implementation of value driven governance disciplines; lead the definition and solutioning for competency frameworks, proficiency evaluations, and education tracks for upskilling.
+ Maintain visibility with enterprise and senior leadership on the status and progress of data governance activities, increasing understanding of risk exposure and mitigating plans.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
+ Minimum of six years of related work experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Minimum of five years in a data leadership position
+ Broad knowledge of data, data management, and governance
+ Experience defining and operationalizing data governance and/or security programs
+ Experience with authoring policies and enforcement via auditing
+ Experience leading teams without direct oversight, via influence
