Summary: The Data Governance Lead plays an important role in the organization by performing several activities related to the company's Dept function. The Data Governance Lead is instrumental in establishing and enforcing data governance policies and procedures across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Data Governance Lead will collaborate with data stewards, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, security, and quality. This individual will drive the development and implementation of data governance frameworks that support the organization's strategic objectives and compliance mandates. Essential Functions: * Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security * Collaborate with data stewards, IT teams, and business units to establish data governance frameworks and best practices * Monitor and enforce data governance policies and compliance with regulatory requirements * Conduct data quality assessments and implement data cleansing processes to maintain high data quality standards * Identify and address data-related issues, providing guidance and support to data stewards and business stakeholders * Collaborate with business stakeholders to define domains and subdomains across the organization * Work with the business to establish data owners and data stewards across the various domains and subdomains * Develop and deliver training programs on data governance policies and best practices to employees and stakeholders * Lead data governance committee meetings and working groups to drive data governance initiatives and priorities * Maintain and update data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage
