Send an email to Accessibility (careers@truist.com?subject=Accommodation%20request)_ _(accommodation requests only; other inquiries won't receive a response)._ **Regular or Temporary:** Regular **Language Fluency:** English (Required) **Work Shift:** 1st shift (United States of America) **Please review the following job description:** + Evaluate emerging risks to assess the inherent and residual data risk exposure within physical data retention, while working cross functionally to implement risk mitigating processes and solutions. + Responsible for supporting data governance across the enterprise, enabling business growth while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory expectations. + Partner with various business and technology stakeholders to influence and drive adoption of related Enterprise Data Management strategies, policies, standards and control frameworks. + Evaluate established and emerging data practices and technologies to drive the team’s direction, while implementing innovative processes and solutions to provide competitive advantage while meeting rigorous control and oversight mandates. + Develop and maintain policies, standards and technology in support of enterprise Data Governance. Create and implement processes and procedures to support data standards and risk control frameworks. + Provide subject matter expertise in the planning and execution of data management activities such as data sourcing, metadata management, data quality, data privacy or records management. + Drive solution design and execution of multi-pronged data governance efforts that span across platforms and business/technology areas to address enterprise data needs. + Implement strategic data governance capabilities by working with business and technology partners to document requirements and create action plans. + Perform oversight and inspection of critical data management practices for adherence to established data policies and control frameworks. + Identify data issues and work with technology, risk and business partners to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and remediate the issues to closure. + Support the production of metrics and measures to track progress and adherence, escalating as needed to various committees for visibility and program accountability. + Understand and integrate relevant regulations and industry trends into work plans, exploring emerging frameworks and assessing feasibility using proof of concepts. **Requirements** + Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, Risk Management or related field. + Must have 6 years of progressive experience in Analyst or Consulting roles in technology, data management, governance, risk or related practice with the following: + Creating and implementing processes and procedures associated with information assurance and control activities + In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with information technology, risk management or project management + Interpreting and explaining complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders. + Working knowledge related to testing controls, measuring, reporting and remediation. + Working knowledge of risk mitigation, strategic planning, and management of personnel + Working knowledge of internal audit/audit readiness processes and best practices. + Utilizing MS Office & Sharepoint + Must have 3 years of experience with the following: + Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK), COBIT and similar frameworks. + Demonstrating proficiency in RSA Archer. + Position may work remotely but is based out of and reports to Truist offices in Atlanta, GA.
