Webster Bank is looking for someone to join the Data Governance team to cultivate, promote, and enhance our Data Governance program. In this position the Data Life Cycle Manager will have responsibility for the analysis, documentation, rule definition and management of critical data elements associated with the delivery management of chief data offices’ related business solutions. This includes but is not limited to upstream and downstream data integration to the data ecosystem including field level analysis and business requirements while partnering closely with the data architecture team, business units, data movement and data modelling teams.  Under the umbrella, and with a foundational focus of Data Governance, this role will support data quality, data definition and critical data lifecycle management processes from initiation through implementation.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the Critical data elements in the approved business glossary tool.Drive continuous capture of business metadata for critical date elements to enable self-service reporting and support improvement in data qualityWork with DQ manager to establish enhanced metrics on CDEs and DQ remediation efforts.Support Data Quality (DQ) rule processes within DQ platform as defined by business requirements and initiatives.Perform data analysis, in support of the critical data elements, during all phases of the key initiatives of the Chief Data Office.Communicate and coordinate with business clients and DQ Team colleagues to drive and support the remediation efforts.Develop and support Critical Data metrics showcasing the DQ programs and initiatives the Chief Data Office is governing.

Experience Needed

High school diploma or GED required.Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) preferredCandidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration.Strong skills in data analysis, information assessment, and data quality review.Strong technical skills: MS Excel / SQL / various data analysis and reporting / Business Intelligence tools.Demonstration of team leadership, project management, and the ability to build and maintain relationships.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to objectively analyze and evaluate issues.

The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $130,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
