Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Data Governance Vice President, who will support Business functions ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) and Finance to drive and ensure compliance with BCBS 239 requirements.
The role will be part of the SSBI Finance and Risk Governance Management team, which will control all incoming changes for Finance, ERM and Treasury reporting to align with internal Data Governance policies/ frameworks. The team will work in close collaboration with ERM and Finance Metric / Report owners, Data Stewards and Business Data Owners.
High data quality is the basis of data-driven business processes and models, essential in seeing the true picture of the ongoing activities and risks, and enhancing effective risk management and decision-making. Data quality improvement efforts are important part of the data governance.
What you will be responsible for:
The successful candidate will:
1. Project Management for all BCBS 239 report and metric related implementations and enhancements within the global data architecture
2. Drive the change by helping to transform ERM’s and Finance’s risk data aggregation and reporting processes together with metric and report owners and corporate functions
3. Ensure consistent implementation of internal Data Governance policy and framework for ERM and Finance SSBI GmbH
4. Establish a Data Governance change process for BCBS related changes to reports, metrics and related Governance in line with State Street policies / frameworks
5. Define requirements for implement SSBI DQ dashboards with relevant Report / Metric owner and agree, measure and report key controls
6. Assess existing internal processes to ensure alignment with target data architecture and monitor and support execution.
7. Support Metric / Report owners, Data Stewards and Business data owners on existing and new Data Provider / Consumer agreements to define Critical Data Elements (CDEs), agree data distribution approach, implement data quality checks and controls, and communicate standards for data processing issues, delays or change management for data source updates.
8. Work with the Data Stewards and Business Data Owners across the organization to ensure open ended data issues are addressed and managed in compliance to global internal and external standards
What we value:

- Experience in Financial Services and Data Governance, preferably within the context of Banking and/or Financial Risk
- Broad knowledge of the Information Technology / Data Management in Banking with working experience as an engineer, business analyst or project manager
- Appreciation for the value of data in technology systems and the need for governance and controls around data, prior experience in data management preferred
- Experience with Collibra would be a big plus
- Past experiences in Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Tools (Spotfire, Power BI, etc.) or with Business / IT controls, a value added
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working in a matrix organization. Ability to develop / manage relationships at all levels and to effectively collaborate with corporate functions
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Demonstrated strong analytical abilities with attention to details
- Team player in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, or related field with a proven affinity to financial services
• At least 10 years of experience in roles related to Data Governance and Data Management, ideally within Finance or Risk areas
• Data Architecture experience would be a strong asset
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with multiple deliverables
