Data Governance - Product Manager

As a Product Manager, within our Data Governance Product Registration Team, you will transform how our customers interact with metadata and ensure we capture an accurate inventory with high-quality metadata and change management capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for the Data Governance Registration area, ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching business objectives. Define product requirements and work closely with engineering and design teams to develop and prioritize features that meet customer needs. Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure a seamless and delightful user experience. Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats and develop compelling product positioning and value propositions that set our data governance solutions apart from competitors. Leverage business requirements, competitive analysis, and research findings to identify use cases and high-level requirements for exceptional user experiences. Advocate for the product's value proposition and benefits to foster brand loyalty and advocacy.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

6+ years of experience in product management, data management, product ownership, or a similar role. Extensive experience with data catalogs, including data modeling. Exceptional written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven expertise in web-based application information architecture design, design patterns, usability principles, and techniques. Strong technical background with the ability to effectively communicate feature requirements to engineering teams. Experience in a fast-paced agile environment, with a demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and strategic change.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

Experience with open-source and commercial catalog solutions is a significant plus. Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture. Proficiency in conducting user research, analyzing quantitative customer data, and gathering voice of customer data. Bachelor’s degree in product management, data management, or equivalent professional experience.
