Job Summary:
Finance Data Governance (FDG) team is leading the effort of defining the future roadmap for data governance within Finance and ensure ensuring that trusted information is used for critical processes, decision making, and accounting across various finance processes.
As a Finance Data Governance resource, you will be part of a growing team of data management professionals focused on providing world-class data management and data governance solutions. You will partner closely with Finance Technology transformation team, Enterprise Data Management, Controllership, Risk, and other teams to drive data governance and data quality within Finance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data governance, regulatory compliance, and project management within the banking sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills to ensure a smooth transition and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Data Governance in compliance with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy ensuring the appropriate accountability model and processes for data asset management, metadata management, data quality, and issue resolution.
Deliver data quality scorecards, dashboards, analytical reports, and attestation packages for all processes in scope.
Provide insight into the root-cause-analysis of data quality issues and assist in remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback.
Recommending strategic improvements to data assessment process and making necessary enhancements to data analytical and data quality tools.
Continuing to support our current Regulatory Reporting needs via existing platforms working with our upstream data providers, downstream business partners, as well as technologies.
Lead and manage the bank category change project, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks, including data quality controls, business glossaries, and data lineage documentation.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to the bank category change, including preparing and managing regulatory reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the bank category change, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition.
Drive process improvement and standardization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
Provide guidance on technical aspects of data governance, including the use of SQL and Excel macros for automated reporting and data analysis.

Skills and Requirements
Experience preparing various regulatory reports
Managed process improvement and standardization projects
Experience working at a big bank (cat 1 or 2)
Experience in implementing data governance including authoring of data quality controls and business glossary and lineage
Writing and managing policies including being a custodian
Self-driven and agile to deliver work in a timely manner
Proven ability to work onsite 3 days a week to collaborate with team null
