Data Integration Engineer

The Data Integration Engineer supports company initiatives surrounding the centralization of legacy data systems for the purpose of data warehousing and analytics.. Scopes, builds and maintains integrations between existing and new business tools. Monitors performance of integrations, correcting or optimizing when required. Represents IT on relevant project teams when data integration may be of concern.
This position will require regular in-person attendance at one of our Foley Equipment offices with partial weekly work-from-home opportunity. At this time, full-remote is not available. Open to Any Foley location, Kansas City and Park City preferred. What you will do in this job: Assist with data warehousing and BI/reporting initiatives. Contribute to the strategy and architecture for managing the enterprise’s data. Scope, build, validate, deploy, monitor, and document data integration functions to support business needs across various legacy, web, cloud and other environments. Monitor and support integration solutions in production to meet technical and business requirements. Assist in developing and prioritizing technology strategies and roadmaps. Participate in Caterpillar and Dealer organized groups to determine and prioritize system enhancements. Ensure Caterpillar data service requirements are maintained. Collaborate with various business units to understand critical needs and ensure necessary functionality is maintained or improved. Develop a level of subject matter expertise with each new data asset being loaded. Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management. Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, contractors, and business unit leaders. Maintain project timelines, record and report milestones with necessary documentation. Adhere to data stewardship/governance best practices; collaborate in upkeep of company data governance standards and associated documentation. Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations. Our ideal candidate: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related discipline 5+ years experience in data integration or a similar, relevant role Strong communications and organizational skills Experience with Microsoft Azure/Microsoft Fabric framework Adept understanding of varying data architectures and connectivity/ETL protocols/methods Proficiency with at least one scripting language. (Python, C#, PowerShell, etc.) Ability to document processes with strong dedication to documentation maintenance.
