What you'll do:

The Data Intelligence Advocate will work craft comprehensive training modules and workshops tailored to diverse skill levels. These initiatives aim to equip all internal stakeholders with the requisite knowledge and competencies to effectively leverage data and AI technologies in their respective roles. For success in this role, reliable problem-solving skills, creativity, communication and keen insight are invaluable skills.

How you'll make an impact

Collaborate with subject matter experts, including Data Scientists, Data Analysts and other cross functional teams, to identify training needs and gaps in data literacy and AI knowledge across the organization.

Design, develop, facilitate and deliver targeted learning programs and courses (training sessions, workshops, and webinars) focusing on data intelligence, analytics, and Generative AI principles, tailored to different roles and levels of expertise across Geotab. With the objective of enhancing employees' data skills and understanding of AI technologies.

Lead and enhance Geotab's Generative AI Champions Program in collaboration with Geotab’s Learning & Development team, driving internal adoption and leveraging the program's successes to position Geotab as a forefront leader in Generative AI implementation. 

Advocate for the intrinsic value of data-driven decision-making and AI innovation and enable agile adjustments to strategies in alignment with the dynamic organizational landscape.

Monitor, evaluate, and analyze the effectiveness of data intelligence and generative AI training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to use this data to continuously improve the learning experience.

What you'll bring to the role

3-5 years of technical knowledge using SQL and Python

Understanding of ETL tools and how data flows (hands-on experience is not required)

Familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau (Superset preferred but not mandatory)

A go-getter attitude, able to work independently

Strong stakeholder management abilities. Considering this person will be working directly with teams outside mine to help them scale up their technical skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a related discipline

Nice-to-have

Experience in facilitating training sessions, grooming for teams/other data analysts

Content creation skills, curriculum development
