Skills and Competencies:

Students studying towards a Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.Graduation date of December 2025 - June 2026Knowledge of Data Visualization tool like Power BI or TableauStrong working knowledge of SQL and/or PythonStrong written communication and presentation Exposure to web analytics tools and prior experience in developing analytical reports and dashboards

Responsibilities:

A vision for ingraining analytics into an organization’s decision making processAbility to translate business needs/questions into technical requirements for a data product (e.g., daily report, ad-hoc SQL analysis, data feed)Ability to design granular and flexible data tables to support myriad analytical use casesStrong perspectives on how to ensure high data quality and governanceUses a variety of data manipulation tools / techniques to achieve an outcome, including SQL and ExcelExperience in design-and-build innovative data solutions, from discovery to delivery for stakeholders

About the Team/Program:

At Moody’s, our Data Analyst are key to organizing and synthesizing data in a way that creates actionable insights for the business and product leadership. You are highly analytical and excited about applying a quantitative framework to business problems through performing complex analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, business forecasting, applied statistics, and more. You are comfortable with presenting your approach to Product Manager, Engineers, Marketing, Sales, Finance and working with them to execute a data-driven business process. Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate of this position is $35/hr.
