Data Management Analyst

The Opportunity

As part of our Data Platform Data Engineering team, we are seeking Systems Data Management Consultant who will develop data management strategies that align with business objectives.

The Team
The Data Engineering team in Enterprise IT Product and Operations Technology organization, is comprised of highly skilled, collaborative, problem solvers who are motivated to create innovative solutions that exceed the changing needs of our customers and move MassMutual forward. As a Systems Data Management Consultant, you will analyze and interpret complex data sets to enable data for actionable insights that drive decision making.

The Impact

Our ideal Advanced Data Analyst candidate is proficient in data management and has a strong analytical capability. You’ll use your skills to provide subject matter expertise and complete in-depth data analysis, which contribute to the strategic efforts of the team. You’re also detail-oriented and adaptable.

Document & develop end-to-end data flow processes, data designs to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Analyze and design data models, logical databases, relational database definitions and metadata.

Define data quality management, data security frameworks, metadata management, and data governance processes.

Provide data standards and best practices. Ensures that data dictionaries are maintained across multiple database environments.

Complete understanding of how we manage data with focus on performance, scalability, reliability.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

5 + years of proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level data management solutions, with demonstrable contributions to projects requiring cross-functional collaboration.

4 + years demonstrating strong aptitude for formalizing and improving data management processes, operational efficiency and data quality  to elevate organizational data management maturity.

5+ years in designing data solutions involving integration of complex data sources, modeling, and governance frameworks.

5+ years experience working as part of a structured project delivery team, ensuring alignment between technical deliverables and business goals.

Ideal Qualifications

Master’s degree in computer science or engineering.

Familiar with agile project delivery process.

Ability to troubleshoot problem areas and identify data gaps and issues.

Ability to adapt to fast changing environment.

Strong knowledge of data modeling and ETL development including patterns and best practices.

Experience with design, development & deployment and migrating applications to cloud environments like AWS, SnowFlake, Databricks.

Excellent mentoring skills and the desire to contribute to efforts beyond the scope of the day-to-day project work.

Strong Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and use in data access and analysis.

Experience in Finance / Insurance Domains preferably in Life Insurance

Experience in developing data mapping specifications

Proficient in data management including data analytical capability.

Excellent verbal and written communications also high attention to detail.

Experience with Python.

Presentation skills in demonstrating system design and data analysis solutions.

Salary Range: $104,900.00-$137,700.00
