Data Management Leader, PharmBIO

About the Role:  We are looking for a PharmBIO Data Management Leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible to drive development and execution of a Data Quality and Master Data Governance Strategy to effectively and efficiently support business processes aligned with Enterprise and PharmBIO strategies.  This Associate will be responsible to drive, guide, and influence the data work supporting the Digital Transformation Journey and will lead Data Specialists. This Associate will partner with Key Enterprise and Business Stakeholders to ensure strategic decision making for the management, consistent quality, and trustworthiness of the data for PharmBIO.

 

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 

Pay and Benefits:

$113,000-$140,000 per year Factors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include (but not limited to) education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a Data Management Strategy for PharmBIO leveraging data governance tools and utilizing internal and industry best practices Facilitate and define required data related activities, coordinate facilitation of data governance processes, and ensure appropriate training for associates involved Ensure that data quality is managed in alignment with the needs of the business with clear accountability for the stewardship of data assets, track data quality improvements, and identify optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues Lead and execute data deliverables needed to support Project milestones, data risks, data control requirements, investments, resourcing, communications, and change management for Digital Transformation Journey Lead Data Specialists to ensure alignment to the PharmBIO business processes/strategies, eliminate roadblocks, understand team needs, influence and motivate team, create functional connections, and ensure timelines are met Provide training and coaching to develop Data Specialists, and advocate for broad data literacy and use of industry best practices for data management Communicate Data Management and Governance efforts to key PharmBIO stakeholders and act as main point of contact for Data Management related inquiries Educate and create awareness of data related topics and issues across PharmBIO businesses  

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years' experience of working with data management and governance processes/tools Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and developing Associates as well as working in diverse, global teams Experience leading data definitions development, data quality improvements, data model development, and collaborating with cross functional teams; Experience with functional/domain data (i.e. SC, manufacturing, sales), including where the data supports multiple business processes Solid working experience with surrounding and supporting disciplines (data quality, metadata management, data operations, and Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse/Data Lake) Experience working across multiple projects and programs to identify and resolve conflicts relating to data, and to understand the broad impact of data related decisions Experience with delivering change management process and outcomes, including managing multiple stakeholders  External and internal knowledge of data strategy, data governance, and data management best practices and maturity, including knowledge of the DAMA framework Demonstrated strength in influencing broadly and working through ambiguity, understanding the perspectives of varied audiences, and crafting appropriate oral and written communication Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders to gain commitment and remove roadblocks for Associates Ability and willingness to travel 5%

 

Desired Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools such as SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) and Analytical tools such as Power BI Project management experience Knowledge of Gore’s products
