“A Day in the Life”

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Data Manager/Architect to design and manage our enterprise-wide data architecture, ensuring data governance, quality, and strategy align with business objectives. This role involves leading the development of scalable data models, data integration processes, and data governance frameworks, which are crucial for enabling high-quality data-driven decision-making by ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and security across all systems and platforms. You will collaborate with both technical teams and business units to ensure a unified, strategic approach to data management, integrating governance, data quality, and security into the architecture to ensure compliance with regulations and high data integrity. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution, making data accessible, reliable, and actionable across the enterprise.

“What You’ll Do”

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s enterprise-wide data architecture.Ensure all data models are scalable, consistent, and aligned with business needs, particularly for systems like ERP, CRM, and BI (Datawarehouse, Analytics, Reporting).Work with cross-functional teams to create and optimize logical and physical data models for current and future use cases.Implement and manage a data catalog (in alignment to business glossary or vice-versa) to document all data assets, ensuring that stakeholders have visibility and access to data definitions, sources, and ownership.Ensure documentation for data models is comprehensive, up-to-date, and easily accessible to stakeholders.Oversee data mapping to ensure accurate data flow and interoperability between systems.Develop and implement data governance policies, ensuring data integrity, security, and privacy.Establish data quality standards and work with teams to ensure adherence across systems.Regularly audit and validate data across platforms to maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency.Serve as the key stakeholder for data accuracy, overseeing data quality initiatives and implementing best practices.Participate in design of data integration processes between multiple systems (ERP, CRM, BI, and external systems) to ensure seamless data flow.Collaborate with the integration team to ensure that all data movement between systems follows the approved data architecture and governance framework.Solve interoperability challenges, ensuring that data from legacy and modern systems integrates efficiently.Partner with senior leadership to define the company's long-term data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.Drive data-related initiatives, including cloud migrations, data warehousing, and advanced analytics.Evaluate new technologies and trends (such as big data, AI, and machine learning) and recommend strategies for future data architecture improvements.Collaborate with the BI, application development, and integration teams to align data architecture with their technical and business requirements.Collaboration with BI Team for advanced analytics initiatives and contribute towards data-driven metrics and KPIs for business performance monitoringAct as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of data needs and strategies.Lead workshops, training sessions, and meetings to keep teams informed about data governance, architecture, and best practices.Ensure data architecture complies with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI, SOX etc..) and internal security protocols.Work closely with the IT security team to design and implement data security measures, safeguarding data from breaches and ensuring regulatory compliance.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data architectures, data models, and integrations.Define and enforce data standards and best practices, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all data-related processes.Monitor and track data quality metrics, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of data discrepancies.Implement data quality processes and tools, providing regular reports on data quality health to stakeholders.Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data management.

 

“Must Haves”

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Certified Data Architect (CDA) or Certified Data Manager (CDM) is preferred10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management roles.Strong understanding of database platforms (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Snowflake/Google Big Query/Amazon Redshift, data lakes) and data integration technologies (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Fivetran).Data Modelling tools (e.g., ERwin, PowerDesigner)Data Management Systems (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server)Experience with CRM/CPQ/ERP platforms (e.g. SalesForce, Oracle Cloud Fusion, SAP)Experience with data governance, data quality management, and compliance frameworks.Proficiency in ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipeline design.Experience with Tableau or other BI tools for data visualization and reporting.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

 

The specific pay rate and level, if applicable, will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience and location.
