The BNSF Railway Compliance and Audit Department ensures adherence to best practices in corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls, fostering trust and alignment with business partners. Travel is minimal to none.
This position is responsible for obtaining, organizing, and delivering on data requests in support of audits and initiatives. This position will work closely with the Data Analytics and Audit teams to obtain data requirements, identify data sources, and validate the reliability and completeness of data.
Key responsibilities may include:
Contribute to audit planning discussions to understand audit objectives and to identify data needs.
Understand data connections to the internal audit environment.
Identify data requirements, data sources, and opportunities for automation.
Leverage advanced data analytics skills including techniques for pulling, analyzing, making recommendations, and presenting results.
Implement effective project management techniques to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
Communicate results to the Data Analytics Manager and discuss potential barriers.
Develop and monitor key risk indicators.
Train department personnel on data analytics and new technologies.
Contribute to the department's success through participation in initiatives and special projects
Daily work is conducted primarily in an indoor office environment with some field activities. Normal office hours, five days per week with weekend

Basic Qualifications:
Able to work in the US without company sponsorship now AND in the future. Bachelor’s degree or higher.Minimum of 4 years of experience working with data and querying tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong technical and data analytics skills.Experience with performing analytics, and querying databases (SQL Server, SAS, Tableau, Teradata, SAP HANA, etc.).Organized approach in the collection and analysis of large amounts of data.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to learn new skills as needed to perform challenging and complex tasks.Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and projects.Knowledge of: audit standards and methodologies, railroad operations, generally accepted accounting principles, and security.CPA, CISSP, CISA, or CIA certification.Detail oriented, conscientious, self-starter, having the ability to successfully balance multiple projects and priorities.Strong written and verbal communication skills (at all levels) with an ability to build strong, positive relationships with business partners.At BNSF, you will have access to a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including:
