Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data & Model Engineer to join their team. In this role you will support key data-driven initiatives and project deliverables for multiple high-priority projects. If you are a proactive, hands-on engineer with a solid understanding of Business Intelligence (BI), data modeling, and ETL development, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise and make an impactful contribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver solutions for multiple projects. Develop and implement star schema models and dimension modeling techniques to optimize the data warehouse and reporting systems. Lead the design, development, and deployment of ETL processes, ensuring the smooth flow of data across systems. Work closely with business process owners, developers, and architects to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals. Apply best practices for data governance, reporting techniques, relational structures, and BI processes to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data. Maintain clear and open communication with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and technical challenges as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data integration, ETL processes, and reporting systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6-7 years of professional experience in data engineering, BI development, and ETL processes. Strong experience with BI tools and technologies, especially Business Objects Data Services and Oracle Database. Proficiency in SQL and data query optimization techniques. In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques, including star schema and dimension modeling. Strong experience with relational database structures and data warehousing concepts. Deep understanding of BI best practices, reporting techniques, and data governance. Experience in developing and supporting applied business rules for CRM and BI systems. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business process owners, developers, and architects. Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying solutions. Experience with cloud-based data solutions (i.e., AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with legacy data platforms and data migration efforts is preferred. POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
