Responsibilities:Created Logical and Physical data models using ERWIN and produce ENTITY Relationship diagrams to document designs.Working with Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flow and develop Conceptual data models.Proficient in using Normalizing (1NF,2NF,3NF) and De-normalizing techniques for optimum performance in Relational and Dimensional Database environment.Involve in requirement gathering and analysis with Business analyst, System analyst, Developers and DBA and translated them into detailed reporting requirements.Analyze existing data models, process and architecture to make recommendations for improvement.Use FTP Server to transfer the files into different Severs as needed by Business users.Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends in data uses and single sources of data.Perform Forward Engineering and Reverse Engineering and applied naming standards in ERWIN.Use External tables for data conversion in staging area before loading the data into respective Dimensional tables and Fact tables.Created Test scripts and Complex queries to test the application and to quality assurance of the data.Participating in Code walkthrough and review sessions with Development team and QA team. Created an Enterprise Data Dictionary and maintained standard documentation.Highly involved in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from Analysis, Design, Development, Test, Implementation, Documentation and Support.Experience in Agile/Scrum, iterative and waterfall SDLC methodologies.Experience working with ETL tool PENTAHO, creating source to target mapping documents, sessions, workflows, scheduling, loading data from source to target.Verified if the data model helps in retrieving the required data by creating data access paths in the data model.Involved in creating/modifying Views used by the Reports.Working collaboratively with Health Source of Rhode Island team members to continuously create and improve business processes to better serve the customers and reduce the number of Escalations.Played a key role in setting up the processes while Transitioning to IES implementation.Streamlined the process of Creating and Sending Manual templates to Insurance providers such as BCBS, NHP and UHC on behalf of the UHIP system.Working on Ad-Hoc requests and reports requested by Client tends to have decrease in Escalations.Effective in maintaining consistency across multi-layered data for each case which saves the client close to a Million Dollars by accurately detecting duplicate transactions.Handling touch point meetings and Interactions with several trading partners to identify impact of reported issues and propose solutions for the same.Active participation in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge in both HIX and IES systemsExtensively used SQL Developer to query Oracle Data base to make minor data updates to the Health insurance application submitted via RI HIX portal.Developed dashboards on JIRA, with appropriate Queries and Charts, to facilitate and ease the process of tracking daily progress.Proficient in validating 834 EDI files which is used to Exchange the Heath care information to External Vendors and Analyze the transactions that are sent to Third Party systems to avoid PII issue.Implemented an additional step of Validations for the Third-Party files which resulted in reduced manual errors.Worked closed with UAT teams on testing, defect triage and closure.Worked on migration of the code to different environments like PRODT/PRODP/QA/PREPROD/PROD environments.Initiating and coordinating team meetings, Offshore meetings and status update reporting.Involved in daily SCRUM meetings to keep track of the on-going project status and issues.Working on SVN, on day-to day basis to maintain the code history.Efficient in training and on-boarding new recruits to familiarize them with the system.
