Our Client, a Real Estate And Financial Services company, is looking for a Data Modeler Specialist/Data Analyst for their McLean, VA/Hybrid location. Responsibilities: + Understand how existing applications work, conduct research on data input and output for each application, create artifacts and recommendations for Architecture & BTO Leads to determined modernization and migration strategies for databases, platforms, APIs etc. Requirements: + 8+ Finance knowledge, modern database systems such as snowflake and AWS, 50/50 data modernization and architecture, Advance Excel + Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, economics, statistics or related fields. + 5+ years of work experience, knowledge of mortgage financing is highly desirable. + Knowledge of relational database and SQL. + Data processing skills like Excel, VBA, python. + Knowledge of UNIX operating system and shell scripts. + Deep curiosity to learn with critical thinking. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Strong data analysis ability. + Ability to work under limited direction independently to identify issues and solve problems. + 8+ years of Finance knowledge, modern database systems such as Snowflake and AWS, 50/50 data modernization and architecture, and advanced Excel. + Support data collection, data analysis, data modernization, define strategies and know data architecture. + Strong knowledge of finance and accounting literacy (Ex: capital markets, ROI, credit risk, credit analysis, risk assessment, risk financial). + Not looking for a pure data architect. + Excellent communication skills. + Data modeling, relational data modeling is a must. + Familiarity with mortgage/finance portfolios (preferred). + AWS and Snowflake are nice to have. + Python and shell scripting is not required.
