The Data Modeler's role is to serve as a subject matter expert and perform tasks that contribute to the conceptual and physical models.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assisting the lead data architect in revising conceptual, logical, and physical data modelsPartnering with software engineers for data model changes needed for new features and capabilitiesUpdating data models that conform to existing standards and conventionsRevising data dictionary definitions, governance practices, and standardsEnsuring compliance with data security and privacy mandatesHelp perform end-to-end data lifecycle management activities, including data archival and removalPerformance tuning of SQL, PL/SQL, and ETL developmentEnsuring consistency and quality of data between technical system componentsDocument implementation procedures for execution by Production DBAs.
Minimum Required QualificationsBS in Computer Science or a closely-related related field3-5 years of experience as a Data Architect with demonstrated expertise in enterprise data management and related technologiesAdvanced SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle knowledgeExperience with Embarcadero ER/Studio or a comparable data modeling toolExperience with data management technologies, including database platforms, ETL tools, and SQLKnowledge of configuration management and version control processesGood communication skills and stakeholder relationship skills.Additional QualificationsEmbarcadero ER/StudioOracle SQL DeveloperLiquibase or an equivalent DDL code management sub-systemKnowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts.
