Data Operations Analyst
**Data Operations Analyst** This professional analytics position is responsible for the reporting and analytics necessary to support strategic growth initiatives. The preferred candidate will have experience supporting cross-functional, internal teams, be comfortable managing large data sets, have strong attention to detail, a curious and creative problem-solving mindset, the ability to build financial models, and the ability to build and communicate narratives with data. They will work cross-functionally across sales, operations, finance, and marketing with the primary objective of enabling leadership to make effective and analytically driven decisions. This role will work together with Data Ops in building tools and reports that support field teams and aid various business decisions while supporting day-to-day operations. **What You’ll Do** Under the direction of the Data Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for reporting and analytics to support the coordination and execution of corporate, market, or regional initiatives. + The primary responsibility for this position is to design, build and support Power BI reports that improve our ability to provide outstanding service to our external clients + Assist in the development and reporting of key performance metrics to help drive growth + Assist with annual strategic planning, policy deployment and monthly forecasting processes to support financial leadership team + Understands key metrics to identify trends and opportunities + Works directly with Operations leadership on business-critical reporting needs + Integrate data from diverse data sources to create informative data stories through Power BI reports + Provide support for existing Power BI reports, troubleshooting data issues + Assist in the implementation and training of existing and new Power BI reports + Identify opportunities to optimize and modernize legacy reports + Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional business partners + Leverage Agile project management tools to track progress on multiple projects simultaneously + Other duties as assigned **Education and / or Experience:** + Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field or 3-5 years experience managing and analyzing large data sets, and 2+ years working with Business Intelligence tools **Professional Skills:** + Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports & deriving insights from data + Strong financial acumen & Demonstrated ability to apply business financial knowledge to support growth and to provide meaningful analytics + Strong interpersonal & communication skills and ability to work with and influence and communicate with a variety of key stakeholders + Ability to learn the use of BI tools and programming languages for reporting business metrics and financial performance + Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Power BI), + Experience working with Excel & Power BI conducting analysis and building compelling data stories + Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives at the same time + Proactive, self-directed, with the ability to structure a weekly schedule to be successful + Learns quickly when facing new challenges; and is motivated by solving problems + Flexible; readily accepts change; open to new ideas, and views new experiences as growth opportunities \#LI-KJ1 **Fortive Corporation Overview** Fortive’s essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter.
