Responsibilities of this role This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to support data jobs on a day-to-day basis for our new Commercial Risk Solutions Ecosystem. These jobs are the lifeblood of our ecosystem, ensuring the flow of data between applications and out to external 3rd parties within EMEA countries. service transition of IT applications into operations mode, coordinating support engineering resources that manage application and data-related incidents, problems and change. Responsibilities include: Working with Product Managers on the safe transition to operations of data jobs that integrate across and beyond our ecosystem Define and operate L1-L2 Incident and Problem Management processes in line with IT Service Management standards. Own issues from inception through to resolution including triage, app/data patching, dispatch to L3+ product teams, communications and general reporting. Collaborate with support teams across a range of heterogenous applications covering full scope of Web, API, Database, ETL, 3rd party on-prem and SaaS. Adhere to SLAs for mean time to respond (MTTR), provide updates and root cause analysis as required Ownership of knowledge base for supporting data jobs incl. writing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhering to IT and Sec controls. Taking personal responsibility for support across data architecture, building a network of internal partners to ensure effective remediation of issues. This role will give the chosen candidate a unique opportunity to shape the operating model for our Commercial Risk Ecosystem to drive significant revenue and efficiency opportunities across all countries where Aon operates. Skills and experience that will lead to success 5+ years in development or maintenance of data pipelines (ETL) or system-to-system integrations using iPaaS software products. Proficiency in two or more of: SQL, Python with Databricks/Jupyter/Airflow, Workato (low-code iPaaS), StreamSets, Talend, SSIS, SFTP, Linux scripting Experience in Agile tooling and practices relating to code, branch and release management. Some Azure (or AWS) cloud support experience desirable Experience in ITIL Service Management. ITIL or DataOps certification a distinct plus. Agile planning skills – Kanban or Scrum. Effective technical writing skills to describe issues, root cause, workarounds etc. Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework and DORA/DOX-related processes is a plus College degree in IT-related discipline.
