UST is recruiting for a Data Platform Engineer to join our team in London, who will be responsible for building robust data platforms and possess strong expertise in Azure, Databricks and DevOps.

Role:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Implement and optimize data solutions using Azure services (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, etc.). Leverage Databricks to build robust data pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing and transformation. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure seamless integration between data platforms and downstream applications. Employ DevOps practices to automate deployment pipelines, monitor system performance, and ensure high availability and scalability of the platform. Drive improvements in data storage, data access, and data governance across the organization. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues related to data pipelines and infrastructure. Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards for all data management activities.

 

What you will bring:

Proven experience building and managing large-scale data platforms, preferably in a cloud environment. Strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies, including but not limited to Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering, pipeline building, and performance optimization. Solid understanding of DevOps principles and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.). Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Scala, SQL. Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
