Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Insights & Analytics organizations is reimagining decision making at Northrop Grumman. We are a team of strategic analysts, scientists, engineers, and technologists who use science, research and data to identify strategic insights and create innovative analytic solutions for our business. As the Data Platform Manager, you will report directly to the Director, Program Management and Operations and oversee the standup and ongoing operations of our data platform.

The EI&A data platform provides the infrastructure and tools necessary to  execute and deliver the full lifecycle of data analytics and integrations.

The primary location of the position is in Falls Church, VA; remote or hybrid candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Oversee the requirements, design, implementation, and maintenance of the data platform. Ensure robust performance, reliability, and security of the platform and infrastructure

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to understand needs to ensure platform capabilities support workflows while optimizing cost and capabilities

Establish and maintain the strategic roadmap for the data platform, considering industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the data platform

Manage and monitor platform performance to include resolution of issues

Lead a team of platform architects and engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development to team members

Provide project management oversight of data platform efforts to include cost, schedule, and risk management

Basic Qualifications:

8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD or 15 years of related experience

Understanding of enterprise data platform concepts including devops, data engineering, governance, security, compliance, and performance optimization

Experience managing cloud technology platforms

Proven ability to prioritize and complete projects within critical deadlines

Proven ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to executive leadership

Familiarity with key project management principles

Experience coordinating efforts of diverse, distributed, cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Math) 

Experience managing enterprise data platforms

Experience managing enterprise technology within the aerospace and defense industry

Experience with DevOps practices to include continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)

Experience with any of the following: GitHub, MS Project, and/or risk and opportunity management tools

Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $213,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
