Job Description

The Data Programmer applies standard programming procedures and knowledge of pertinent functional areas. Analyzes needs, designs, writes and tests new programs and applications. Programs developed or modified are typically linked to several other programs; (i.e., the output of one becomes the input for another). Maintains and revises existing systems and provides technical assistance to users as well as to others in IT. Works according to the approved requirements and detailed specifications. Applies judgment in devising program logic and selecting and adapting standard programming procedures; obtains advice when precedents are unclear or unavailable.

Required:

A minimum of six months of related experience is required.One to two years IT/IS programming experience in a similar role 1+ years of experience in web and/or application development

Preferred:

1+ years of experience with the following:
- Microsoft Stack
- C# programming language
- Excel – VBA Macro
- Microsoft SQL
- Source Control coding

About the Opportunity:

Program Development and Maintenance: The Data Programmer is responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining assigned programs. This includes monitoring the operation of these programs, diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding, and ensuring their reliability and effectiveness.Software Analysis and Implementation: The role involves reviewing user requirements for new software, conducting analysis, design, implementation, installation, and providing training related to new software developed or acquired. The programmer plans systems based on consultations with management and staff, documents system plans, and establishes implementation schedules.System Design and Documentation: The programmer designs and documents systems based on analysis results and consultations, develops databases, programs, and procedures necessary for system integration or implementation, and tests systems to ensure operational reliability. They also document systems for user departments and IT in accordance with institutional standards.This is a remote position.
