The Ground Systems Support (GSS) organization is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will lead special projects focused on continuous improvements across the organization. The candidate will be responsible for determining data required for Ground Systems Support metrics, performing data analysis, and driving data driven decisions and continuous improvement within the organization. A background in manufacturing, fabrication, operations, maintenance, and production planning is highly desirable. **Responsibilities** Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: + Manage and track continuous improvement projects and associated action items. + Facilitate process mapping and Kaizen events to streamline processes and capture best practices + Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide periodic reports. + Assist in the development and implementation of databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other tasks that optimize data and process efficiency and quality. + Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources for analysis. + Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. + Based on data analysis, provide inputs on data trends, recommended improvements, and opportunities to support initiatives for data integrity and normalization. + Provide data to management to enable data-driven decisions for/on process improvements. • Gathering/Providing requirements for reporting and dashboard development. • Provide reporting and Dashboard development and administration for the Ground Systems Support (GSS) Dept. • Developing dashboards, data transformation, and data organization via data analysis and review. • Provide technical support for existing projects and support the resolution of complex data issues. • Apply technical and working knowledge of business processes to multiple complex data sets to ensure data accuracy and consistency across organization. • Assess, test and implement new or upgraded software/systems based on strategic decisions and development. • Generating reports from single or multiple systems. • Training end-users on new reports and dashboards. • Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data organization. • Backup for the Ground Systems Working Team (GSWT) Project Manager. • Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications - External** **Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution. Candidate must possess at least four (4) years of appropriate and progressive experience; or any approved equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, certification(s), and/or license(s).** **This position will be considered at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.** + Excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills with a proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment as required to coordinate and implement measurable process improvement projects including inter-organizational support. + Ability to lead multiple projects and priorities across the areas of responsibility. + Must be organized and detail oriented. + Capable of leading and performing complex assignments without direct management involvement. + Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst is highly desired. + Technical expertise regarding data models, database design & development, data mining and segmentation techniques to provide actionable insights to support business decisions. + Experience applying Lean and quality tools such as Process Mapping, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis + Proficient in Microsoft tool suite, with experience specifically in Power BI and programming DAX is extremely desirable. + Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.). + Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks) + Strong analytical skills including but not limited to the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy is required. + Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings by using analytical thinking aiming to translate data into informative visuals as per management requirements. + Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Inventory Management software, and Product Life Cycle management (PLM) Systems highly desired. + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary. + Must be able to travel to support position requirements. + Must maintain a positive work attitude by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, employees and management. **Essential Functions** **Physical Requirements** + Will be required to climb stairs to access equipment for troubleshooting. + Climbing ladders and platforms will be necessary. + Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection and other associated personal protective equipment. + Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing. + Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures. + Must be able to work in tight confined space areas. **Work Environment** + All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and Company safety standards. + Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex. + Position requires daily individual to travel to different areas on site. + Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand is required to access various locations on the facility. **Equipment and Machines** + Cranes and other heavy equipment such as crane carriers, Hi-Rangers, man lift platforms, hydraulic lifts, spider staging, converter dollies, cargo lift trailers, and tractor/trailers. + Operate computer terminals, personal computers, and related computer peripheral equipment to maintain/adjust database logs and records, print documents and record work performance. + Personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, laser printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies. **Attendance** + Work assignments are normally 8 hours shifts, 5 consecutive days per week. + Must be dependable and punctual. + Occasional overtime, sometimes with short notice, is required to meet demanding schedule **Other Essential Functions** + If offered a position, proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card holder of the United States is required. + Needs to have clear, concise, and accurate communication skills. + Must have ability to work well with office staff and customer representatives. + Government security clearance may be required in the future. + Must be able to travel to support position requirements.
