Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Protection Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing our data protection framework, with a particular focus on Microsoft Purview. This position involves developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and controls to ensure the security and privacy of our data assets.
Responsibilities· Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures with a focus on Microsoft Purview.
· Conduct regular data protection audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
· Provide guidance and support to internal teams on data protection matters and the use of Microsoft Purview.
· Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update data protection policies and procedures accordingly.
· Prepare and present reports on data protection status and findings to senior management.
· Facilitate training and awareness programs on data protection and privacy for staff.
· Assist in the preparation and management of external audits and certification processes.
· Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data protection and privacy.
Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Data Protection, or a related field.
· At least 5 years of experience in a data protection or compliance role.
· Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and standards, including GDPR and CCPA.
· Experience with Microsoft Purview and its data protection capabilities.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
· Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or other data protection certifications are a plus.
