About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection and eDiscovery Infrastructure Manager to lead and manage the organization’s eDiscovery efforts while contributing to the design and implementation of effective data protection policies. This role involves leading the design, implementation, and management of the technical infrastructure supporting eDiscovery processes, including preservation requirements, managing data collection, server architecture, and security protocols for the secure handling and production of data. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor data exposure cases and trends, identifying opportunities to reduce the organization’s data exposure risk. You will also be responsible for managing Windows servers and applications related to eDiscovery activities, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and manage the technical eDiscovery infrastructure, including architecture and data collections across multiple platforms, ensuring compliance with data protection protocols and best practices.
Collaborate closely with IT and other areas of the Information Security team to ensure the integrity and security of electronically stored information (ESI) throughout the eDiscovery process, working with external technical vendors when necessary.
Administer and optimize eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity One and Exterro products (FTK), ensuring robust technical performance, security, defensibility, and compliance within the organization's infrastructure.
Provide guidance on technical legal hold management and defensible preservation practices to support litigation, investigations, and regulatory requests.
Document eDiscovery workflows, ensuring thorough and accurate tracking of chain of custody procedures and data handling activities.
Monitor data exposure cases and trends, collaborating closely with other teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement controls to minimize the company’s data exposure risk.
Oversee the management and health of Windows servers and applications in support of eDiscovery and data protection workflows.
Assist in developing and recommending data protection policies and strategies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements including GDPR and CCPA.
Conduct risk assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities related to data protection and exposure, recommending and implementing mitigative measures.
Train and mentor staff on eDiscovery best practices and data protection principles, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Act as a subject matter expert on data protection and eDiscovery, advising stakeholders across the organization to help mitigate legal and compliance risks.
What You’ll Need:
7+ years of experience in eDiscovery, data protection, or a related field, including leadership or management roles.
Proven ability to manage technical aspects of large-scale eDiscovery efforts, including server architecture, PowerShell scripting, and secure application management.
Extensive knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and a demonstrated ability to advise on and implement data protection policies.
Proficiency in eDiscovery platforms, including Relativity One and Exterro products.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and legal information to various stakeholders.
Experience in conducting information security risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Relevant certifications in eDiscovery, data protection, or privacy (e.g., CIPP, CEDS) are preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $95,000 - $155,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
