Skills and Competencies

Problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data anomalies and in-efficiencies with the ability to collaborate cross functionally to drive common consensus. Data Quality: Expertise in assessing, monitoring and improving data quality by data validation rules and issue resolution processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance.Data analytics: Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation, Alteryx/Databricks for workflow automation and data preparation and Power BI for creating dashboards and reports to drive data-driven decision-making.Documentation and data governance: Proficient in developing and maintaining comprehensive documentations including standard operating procedures, data dictionaries, etc.

Education

Undergraduate BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering or related field is required.Certifications: (Preferred but not mandatory) SQL Certification (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle SQL or Google Data Analytics), Alteryx Designer Core or Advanced Certification, Databricks Certifications, Data visualization certifications

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders - Working closely with cross-functional teams Sales, Operations, Ratings Process and tech teams to understand data requirements, resolve data quality issues and improve data management processesPerform data analysis and reporting - Use SQL, Alteryx and Power BI to extract, clean and analyze data, creating dashboards and reports that provide actionable insightsAutomate and optimize data processes - Leverage Alteryx and SQL to automate data workflows, enhance efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives and data qualityData migration and transformation - Supports data migration project(s) by extracting, cleansing, normalizing and transforming data to ensure seamless integration across systems Documentation and data governance - Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), update and manage data dictionary in Collibra and ensure adherence to data governance standards.

Our Ratings Transactions Services - Data Quality team is responsible for upholding the highest standards of data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability, ensuring that Moody’s Ratings data is proactively managed and provides actionable intelligence. We contribute to Moody’s Ratings Digitization through informed decision making, automation, enhanced user experience.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$75,700 - [[$109,600, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
