The anticipated salary range for this role is between $153,000.00 and $194,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role DescriptionEnsure integrity and accuracy of corporate data systems. Monitor databases to identify and resolve data quality probably. Plan data integrations and ETL frameworks to fix eternal data errors prior to collection. Collaborate with DBAs and Data Governance team to implement data quality controls and systematic improvements.
Role Objectives: DeliveryReview data quality reports and perform statistical analysis on datasets to identify data quality issues. Remediate any existing exceptions and investigate the sources of data errors. Conduct QA testing after onboarding of new datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness. Build and maintain data dictionary with metadata and data profiles for each data type. Implement data quality policy and controls utilizing business requirements to determine appropriate definitions, guidance, and procedures. Create documentation of data quality processes and conduct training for end-users. Provide support to users experiencing issues with data import or quality controls.
Role Objectives: InterpersonalCollaborate with Database Administration colleagues to build and maintain data dictionaries, error checking procedures, data queries and reports, and integration frameworks. Partner with Data Governance team to implement policies determining data quality standards and practices and ensure the correct categorization of data. Work with business partners to understand the characteristics of their data sets and the source and impact of data quality issues to develop effective guidance and policies. Engage with IT Quality Assurance colleagues to develop testing plans and monitoring for all data operations.
Role Objectives: ExpertiseDemonstrate in-depth understanding of industry best practices, standards, data, architecture, and design of data quality policy and procedures. Exhibit knowledge of statistical analysis methods, data profile building, analytical and modeling frameworks, and database query languages to develop error checking processes and real-time monitoring. Display expertise with visualization and reporting tools to create monitoring dashboards and generate reports for business units. Show ability to translate business requirements into effective data policy and communicate best practices and procedures to end-users.
