Summary:Our client - a major media and entertainment firm located in NYC - has an immediate need for a Data Analyst
Overview:
The firm's Ad Revenue Analytics team is building a Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Platform to unlock the organization's digital ad-serve data and drive revenue growth. The Data Control Analyst for Ad Revenue Analytics will sit within the Product team and be responsible for building automated data quality controls. In this role you will work closely with the data engineering team and the internal technology teams to integrate with vendor APIs and QC data within the platform against the data provided by our vendors. Additionally, you will work with the Product team leads and our internal stakeholders to develop methods of proactively identifying potential sources of data quality issues. 
Job Duties:Utilize vendor APIs to build automated checks for the in-house data warehouse datasetsBuild processes to identify data misclassificationsBecome a subject matter expert on our data pipelinePerform periodic data audits to identify vendor gaps and garbage data, as well as provide recommendations on improvementsBuild release management software to perform automated regression testingRequired Skills:3-5 years of development experience in Python or equivalentEducational background in software development, engineering, or an equivalent quantitative fieldStrong understanding of JSON file formats, as well as other industry standardsProven ability building QC products and processesExtensive experience utilizing APIs and building automated processesExperience pulling data using SQL statementsAbility to drive your own development and work independentlyAbility to clearly define requirements and create appropriate timelines for deliverablesAdditional Skills:Prior experience with Looker, AWS, Presto and/or Qubole is a plusPrior experience and understanding of media business, and/or ad revenue systems would be helpfulKey aspects of the position:Strong background in data analytics, data pipelinesExpert at SQL & PythonExpert at working with APIsExpert at working with JSON file formats.
