Data Reporting Specialist
Job Description This employee will be supporting the Professional Education division and will be responsible for: Data Analysis  Taking the data and creating user-friendly, appealing reports/visualizations  Ability to understand complexity in data and create views for analysis. Data Reporting :  Create visual dashboards using Excel and data that is downloaded from CVent (data must be downloaded to Excel for analysis no access to CVent database)  Dashboards easily presentable to leadership teams such as ppt slides or 1 page dashboard view  Create and maintain multiple different viewpoints of the data for at Summary level and Detailed level  Create macros to make working with data more efficient and accurate  Ability to review data visualizations for anomalies (metrics created from up to 9,000 rows of data) Process improvement:  Technical skills to create process improvements to manual tasks with data and education program planning checklists  Power Automate Desktop to create flows that will improve efficiency of manual tasks when full automation of a task is not possible  Create flows to automate certain manual steps in data analysis  Create flows to generate specific communications to aid in increased collaboration on events with appropriate team members for that event  Creative problem solving - Experience with understanding steps of a complex process and finding ways to improve the process for accuracy and/or efficiency  Utilizing Microsoft Office suite of offerings or similar  Create collaborative checklist that can be used by temporary small teams working on each event  (e.g. every event may have 4-5 different people on it that work as a temporary team only for that event not a consistent team of people for all events)  Experience automating reporting workflows to eliminate repetitive and time-consuming tasks Key priority of this role is data analysis, data entry and ability to identify and effectively communicate adjustments that need to be made to data. This role will own data integrity and flow to reports for 2 major datasets. The datasets have new data being added daily due to activities. On a weekly basis, this individual will be partnering with the team to analyze data collected from a high volume of events held by the Professional Education team to identify trends, correlations, and bring insights about event performance and other business challenges. It is important that this employee possess high attention to detail and demonstrated examples of managing details in a fast-paced environment. The employee also needs excellent and professional communication (both written & verbal), project management, and organizational skills. To be successful, they must be detail-oriented and able to thrive in situations that are constantly changing. It is not uncommon for a process to get created and need to be regularly modified, so adaptability to change is essential. They must be able to review reports and analyze data, and able to build and maintain good relationships with internal groups that have different agendas but are integral to the success of the job or team. They must be able to adapt to the Global Education teams set processes as well as be proactive in identifying and leading projects that will provide value or efficiencies to the Professional Education team. The work schedule is primarily business hours on Eastern time, with some flexibility required based on high priority needs. Occasional evenings may be required.
